The Membrane Created by Maurice Benayoun with the team of Z-a production, the multimedia artist Yan Minh, Corinne Lambert, Jean-baptiste Barriere, Raymond Audemard, and the Kitchen, the "Membrane" is the central element of the exhibition "The Transformed Man". Maurice Benayoun describes it as follows: "the membrane is an organic device made up of a whole of flexible virtual surfaces, which breathe at the rhythm of the exhibition. Contrary to physical surfaces, those can interpenetrate. The proximity of the visitor pushes back or attracts the first surface to let appear the second which evolves in its turn to show the following one and so on. The visitor penetrates the depth of information, texts, images and video. If the visitor immobilizes himself, the following layer widens, developing the subject. On surfaces of the Membrane information is restructured in a dynamic way, as attracted and nourished by the presence of the visitor. The Membrane is the first organic example of interface for an interactive scenography "
Simulations of the videoprojections on the membrane. 
The artistic works illustrating the topics of the "Biotic Man", the "Network Man" and the "Artificial Man", are indexed in a data-base storage. Their projection is determined by the data-processing software, which show images and texts according to criteria of relevance associated with each graphic or textual element, and according to the position of the witnesses in space. Under the direction of Joel de Rosnay, Yann Minh was in charge of the art direction, graphic integration and the selection of a great part of the artistic works presented on the membrane.
