Composition mixing photography and computer Graphic. The character is a molding in real size of the actress, which I carved in 1982 for my video-art installation "MEDIA øøø" presented in Paris at the museum of modern art of the Center George Pompidou in 1983. I integrated the Black & White photo of the sculpture on a computer graphic background. This image was used as cover for the book of Stéphanie Heuze: Changer le Corps ?", published by Musardine in February 2000.

The video-art installation "MEDIA 000" is, by its form and its content, an oneiric microcosm describing the ultimate apogee of a world mediatized to the extreme.

It is the nightmare of a young woman maintained in slowed down life by a computer. This one, reaching the end of its energy reserves, try to awake her. Unfortunately, she refuses to leave her thousand-year-old dream, and transforms the signal of alarm clock of the computer into a technological nightmare, where the oneiric universe where she live, is parasitized by synthetic reflections of herself. MEDIA øøø is a metaphor of our society, that become cybernetic since Norbert Wiener highlighted the role of the exchanges of information in the hierarchy of living creatures.

The installation was inspired to me at the same time, by the speculative imaginary of the science fiction and also by the book of Marshall Mc Luhan " To understand media ".

Through the video art installation "MEDIA øøø", I try to illustrate, by a formal processing of the narration, his theory of the passage from the mechanical age to the electric age.
